Heart-Centered New Beginnings

Boy oh boy, September is starting off with a bang! This week’s Oracle Card Friday is a DOOZY, and I have a LOT to say! Hold on to your hats folks, the universe is grabbing you by the scruff and shaking up your world!

Right around mid-week is when I start looking for the themes around me. I tune into what clients are needing, or for whatever is coming up in my social circles. Just as I was beginning to put my feelers out, get this: not one, not two, not three, but FOUR separate people reached out to me in less than 24 hours for the SAME issue. My text messages sounded like a pinball machine going bananas. Hello neon flashing sign! And since I’m no dummy, I am running with the messages that are being handed to me on a silver platter and serving up guidance steaming hot right to your door.

One important piece of the puzzle to note (for all my astrology buffs) is that the new moon energy this is all about releasing and changing it up. It’s being intensified by the solar eclipse, AND combined with the Mercury Retrograde dynamic, you are probably feeling the urge to move forward in some areas of your life in a major way. New beginnings that are heart-centered! The concept of being led by your heart is KEY! (I am not an not an astrology expert, so if you’d like more in-depth guidance and understanding, check out Danielle Mercurio who always provides a positive and fun spin on the energy swirling around us. 😊✨🌑)

I digress. So magically my friends all decided to step up and speak their truths on the same day. Interestingly enough, it was all within friend dynamics and relating to their desire for relationships filled with integrity, honesty and mutual respect. Each had an experience of being made to feel betrayed or slighted in some way, and rather than responding in their typical way of ignoring or avoiding conflict, they stood firm and shared what was in their heart. This is not always easy! We can hesitate for fear of hurting someone else’s feelings or lack the confidence to state our truth because we feel unworthy of respect. But apparently the collective Band-Aid was ripped off!

I was drawn to pulling three cards today from three different decks. Here are the summaries:

To help heal this situation, see the other person’s point of view with compassion. Misunderstanding due to judgements about the other person’s motives and character. Judgments need to be released – person is neither good nor bad, just doing the best they can. You are projecting something from your shadow side and this is an opportunity for you to clear away an ego issue. Affirm “I am willing to release that part of me that is irritated when I think of you”. Compassion is key.

Don’t take things personally. Endeavor to bring greater clarity and calm self-empowerment to the situation. Bring a loving and heartfelt energy to yourself. Affirm “I am emotionally calm and peaceful, and I attract healthy and stable people to me”.

Meditation Focus: Allow all your feelings about endings come to you, whatever they may be. Do you fear them or rejoice in them? Do some journaling to find clarity here. This is a reminder to cherish all the beauty in your life, including endings. Reflect upon your part in history and discover what you value most. Do not fear completion, embrace it.

Clearly a theme of honestly acknowledging our emotions, speaking our truth, learning to let go with love and moving on with newfound insights and empowerment. I feel exhausted just writing that, let alone doing it!

One of the rituals I was able to participate in this week was an intention-setting practice of writing down what I wanted to release – very similar to the above statement of “I am willing to release that part of me that is irritated when I think of you”. (Is it just me or does this make you giggle? It reminds me of the southern saying ‘Bless her heart’. 😂) Just the act of writing down what I wanted to release brought in an immediate sense of relief. And as my friends discovered, speaking their truth allowed them to unburden their hearts and minds and step into their full power. Time and time again I encourage you to commit to your journaling and use assertive communication, today is no different!

So let the lesson be this: you have inside you a compass that will never steer you wrong. Listening to your heart will always provide you with support and guidance. But you must learn how to listen honestly and openly, as you can very easily be fooled into following your ego. Can you commit to a practice of being honest with yourself, knowing when you are in need of changing your perspective or behaviors? And when you discover your true core and connect with your needs and emotions, can you honor yourself enough by standing firm in your values and asking for those around you to respect your boundaries? Being in alignment with your true Self allows you to live with integrity, strength, grace and love.

Needless to say, the universe has thrown down the gauntlet. How will you rise up?

With gratitude,
